It was dusk at our field station in Kaziranga, Assam. All of a sudden, winged termites erupted out from the ground beneath us! And almost on cue, birds joined the party. To my surprise, one among them was an oriental pied hornbill, lifting off, nosediving, and making a meal of it mid-air!
